Dr.Yasuaki Ogawa and his co-researchers applied for “New Venture-Oriented Research and Development Project (Pre-Venture Project)” by Japan Science and Technology Agency in 2001 as the assignment, “development of a sustained release protein drug”, and it was adopted. As the result of continuous research for 3 years, we completed the basic core system technology where protein drugs are sustained steady and released at a constant rate for some weeks.
